About
Us
My
obsession with trees started by chance one day while mowing my yard
in Nevada. I happened upon a seedling growing under my Afghan pine
(Pinus brutia Ten. var. eldarica). I dug it up and planted it in
my front yard. I was hooked. I went around town collecting fallen
cones and extracting the seed. I read on the internet a trick to
separating the good seed from the bad. Afghan pines germinate easy
and I had about 40 seedlings growing in pots when we decided to
move to Oregon.
Here in Dundee, our property is lined with Port Orford Cedars (Chamaecyparis
lawsoniana). So it seemed natural to grow them as well. We have
been growing trees at our home for over 5 years now.
